The Wisp Nasal Mask from Philips Respironics changes the game by offering two choices of frame styles. Select Fabric Frame for a softer touch or Clear Silicone Frame for a more traditional feel. The Wisp comes packaged with all three sizes of cushions (Small/Medium, Large, and Extra Large) allowing the user to find the best fit and seal. The lightweight frame, headgear, and cushion design creates limited facial contact and no forehead support needed.

This is the Wisp Nasal Mask without headgear. Headgear is available here.

Product Features

Frame Options

The unique frame of the Wisp is offered in two formats - Clear Silicone or Fabric. The silicone is less visable and doesn’t draw attention to the face, it's translucent and looks smaller. The fabric frame feels softer and more pliable, gets you closer to the feeling of your pillow The modular frames are interchangeable and reversible.

Cushion - Minimal Contact & Multiple Sizes

The Wisp cushion is small and lightweight with a minimum of silicone touching the face. No need to wonder if another size of cushion would seal better. All three sizes of cushions are included with the Wisp. It comes packaged with the size Small/Medium cushion in place and can easily be changed with the Large or Extra Large cushion.

Minimal Design - Clear View

The headgear and frame design is the source of support and seal for the Wisp omitting the need for a forehead support. Having nothing on the forehead makes and the clear field of view for a more comfortable therapy experience.

Flexible Short Tube

The lightweight and flexible short tube included with the Wisp connects to the swivel elbow. It serves as the connection between the long hose and the cushion - allowing for movement without losing the seal. The tube can be disconnected from the elbow for cleaning. Offering choice of hose position, the short tube can be secured to the headgear using the crown loop keeping the hose up and out of the way.

Warning: Magnetic clips with a field strength of less than 400 mT are used in the mask.* With the exception of the devices identified in the contraindication, ensure that the mask is kept at least 6 inches (approx. 15 cm) away from any other medical implants or medical devices that can be impacted by the magnetic fields to avoid possible effects from localized magnetic fields. This includes household members, caregivers, and bed partners that may be in close vicinity to patients that use the masks.

*The application of Philips Respironics’ magnetic headgear clips and straps - according to the previous, as well as the current updated instructions and labeling - complies with the guidelines from the International Commission of Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), as well as the ISO 14117:2019-09 standard, for use of magnetic elements in proximity of implanted medical devices.

Does insurance cover the head gear

I was wondering why the magnetic clips are up high rather than low where my past mask provided. Is this an error? If so how do I correct it?

Wisp Nasal Mask Review

I have used the mask for years and have found it to be comfortable.

After wearing many different masks over the years, I happened upon the "Wisp" and have never been so comfortable with a nasal mask. It is as close to not wearing a mask at all as one can get - it IS that comfortable! The "Wisp" really fits just over the nose and not on the cheekbones as other do. It is light, soft and very easy to wear. The headgear is very comfortable and non-binding. The only drawback is that the headgear only seems to last about 10-12 months before breaking.
