Single Strap Chinstrap
I've been using this single chin strap since I started using a CPAP around 2007 and it's worked great. I don't have the slipping problem, but I wear it fairly snug. I also don't like bulkier ones that are too restrictive or hot.
Used under the mask, this strap stays on all night. It's lightweight. As elasticity s-l-o-w-l-y gives out over time, it can be resized using the velcro.
I've been using this chin strap for years. It will slide off occasionally. I've found it works best when I put the chin strap on before my head gear. The head gear helps hold it in place.
The strap itself is lightweight and lasts through several cleanings before the elasticity gives out.
Here are the pros and cons on this chin strap.
Pro: Simple design, single strap, slender. With thicker designs, you can end up sweating depending how hot you get during the night.
Cons: Like any chin strap, it will leave marks on your face depending on how tight you have it on. It might slip off your head if you tend to toss and turn a lot at night making it ineffective. Easy to clean since there is not a lot of material.
Overall, I like it. With time you start getting used to it. I've tried a couple of other chin strap and this one does far is the most comfortable and easy to use.
